About

I'm an Irish documentary filmmaker and animator. My work focuses in on our human obsession with legacy.

I used to work as a multimedia journalist for Channel 4 News, BBC, Huffpost and AJ+ amongst others, before I made the move to creative documentaries right around the time the world shut down in 2020.

That year I directed my first creative short documentary For Emergency Use Only for The New Yorker magazine, inspired by my childhood experience which seemed to mirror the fear of the pandemic we were all experiencing. It premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2021.

Over the next few years I gave myself a self-taught crash course in cinema helped by some great development schemes I took part in. In 2022, I was a member of the Documentary Campus Masterschool and have pitched my feature projects in development at Galway Film Fleadh, Docs Ireland and Dok Leipzig.

In 2024, I directed my first mid-length film, BEO FAOIN BHFÓD. Supported by TG4 and Coimisiún na Meán it will have its festival premiere this year followed by a TV broadcast at the end of 2025.

My debut feature film THE FOOL OR THE HOLYMAN is a Swiss-Irish co-production and starts production in May 2025. My second feature documentary THE SPERM KING is in development, has been supported by Screen Ireland and was be presented at several film festivals in 2024.

I also work in the commercial and branded content space, bringing a uniquely empathetic documentary led approach to what I make.

Get in touch; creative, commercial, animation, or just to chat. I'm always keen to hear from people in the industry!
